I've been deploying on Windows for a while but recently (a lot more
traffic) the CGI Adaptor on the server started to act up.
The WebServer is Apache 1.3.
The reason i think it's the adaptor is when i get some traffic going
on the sites applications start to return RANFONTS (Requested
Application Not Found On This Server)
It usually happens that an admin is editing the back end which uses a
fair amount of Ajax, but nothing crazy and then RANFONTS appears.
When i run JavaMonitor in another Tab it too gets RANFONTS, so i
think the Adaptor is choking on something.
The test server running OSX doesn't display this problem even when i
simulate high traffic.
So i have several questions:
Does anyone have experience with this setup?
Is Apache/Win/CGI just plain bad?
I'd rather not uninstall Apache, is there a way to get the Apache
Plugin to run on Windows?
