OK, apparently I spoke too soon.  Apache appears to be running, though I 
consistently get messages in the console like this:

Also, if I type in localhost in Safari, I get a directory listing of the files 
in my webserver document root.  I get the same if I type in the ip address on 
another device in the same subnet.

Also despite telling my FIOS router to port forward port 80 to that machine, 
apparently the domain is still inaccessible - presumably this indicates that my 
WO config for Apache is still off

Any ideas?
