OK, I did these steps again, and now Apache appears to be running. I went to http:localhost:2001 and selected application not found on this server (as opposed to the safari can't find server page)
I removed the old application and instances, then added it again, and now it dies every time, and the console just says: 10/14/10 5:37:26 PM com.apple.launchd[1] (com.apple.InternetSharing) Throttling respawn: Will start in 10 seconds I no longer get the file not found, but it still isn't working.
