For the transition, you are somehow running a program that takes every
page on the old site and creates a xwiki page with a new url on the new site.
I suspect you have the input and output of that program so you know the
original URL and the URL you created to replace it - what other information
do you need to make a list of redirects?

Will the new site be permantently at hub.opensolaris.org or will it become
www.opensolaris.org after the transition is done?   If the performance is
only slow for the www -> hub redirects, that's different than the whole site
performance.
