I use webware because I have a job to and webware does it well.
I use python because I think that is is an excellent compromise between RAD, code maintainability and speed.
Sometimes I use Java or PHP or even ASP because they fit my needs.
I am very interested in Twisted, but never 'got' it. Recently I needed to hook webware into an IMAP server and wound up running another NT Service instead of a single application.
I 'got' webware because I came from Java Servlet development and Webware makes sense in that arena.
This topic hinted at merging Webwares servlet model to Twisted’s network layer. That is a better path to follow.
(And to be honest they both suffer from poor documentation, fortunately Python code is very easy to read)
Thanks for the code, I can get my senseless arguments at home, from my kids. -Aaron
