The report_timing option <http://weewx.com/docs/customizing.htm#The_report_timing_option>section of the Customization Guide details the use of the report_timing option. Within this section the paragraph under the heading *'The relationship between report_timing and archive period*' (unlinked) actually attempts to cover the relationship between archive period and the report_timing option. If you read it carefully, and knowing that the report cycle occurs once per archive period, you can deduce that reports cannot be run more frequently than once at the end of each archive period. I will be the first to admit that para is not very clear (I'll admit I wrote it) and the key point that the report_timing cannot cause reports to be run more frequently than once per archive period is not clear at all. I will rewrite the para to make the relationship more clear.
