The directions say:

sudo wee_extension --install weewx-ip100-0.5.zip

I just replaced the name of the zip.

It looks like you typed python, rather than sudo.
Please try again to install the 0.5 version, and tell me how that goes and the 
exact command line you used to install 0.5.  Then, we can go from there.
