Follow-up Comment #3, patch #1667 (project wesnoth):
Sorry for taking so long to attempt to address your points, Boucman, but I
didn't get informed about your reply until today.
I've attached a patch based on diff --rcs against rev 42660 (since I still
haven't managed to check out a copy to use with svn - maybe in 3-4 weeks). I
only have this by downloading the file from the web interface.
A similar problem exists with the changelog and about.cfg, though I'm already
in about.cfg in art contributions. I suppose I could provide another patch for
about.cfg, but it seems excessive.
-----
Part 2: Problems with zookeeper's solution.
Most importantly, Gg^Vc, Gg^Vch, Gg^Vcm are all legal terrain codes with the
same graphic. Each one has a different value for defense (village;
village,hill; village;mountain respectively).
Second, villages don't alias with bases other than their default, so, for
example, only Vda and Vdc can have village, desert as their terrain even
though other villages could reasonably appear on it.
This patch has neither of the above problems.
However, based on zookeeper's example, I've moved and renamed my village
archetype to match his, and villages with snow on them are now always frozen
regardless of the underlying terrain.
