We use WUG to monitor our servers and set it up to page/sene text messages to our Nextel hand phone. Here's the set up that we do. We use the TAP protocol, and the number to call is xxx-yyy-NOTE(6623) where xxx is your area code, yyy is the first threee digit of the Nextel phone. The pager ID is your pager number. e.g your pager number is 123-456-7890, the Nextel TAP number is 123-456-6623 and the pager ID is 123-456-7890. We use the following string (%c %n %v %u IP %a) which shows the server name, IP address, service that's up or down, date and time.
