Has anyone out there utilized Windows 2000 Professional (instead of Server) to monitor a network of considerable size (around 2000 nodes or more)?

There is another building on campus that most likely has the largest imaging system I have ever seen. Takes up about 3000 sq ft and runs on a GIG network. They have had WUG for years but never got it up and running. Since I am over helping on a few network issues I installed it for them and what the heck, I am building it too. Wonder what you can monitor on those robotic arms and platters?? (some systems are as big as a car) They also have a few Rimage systems that crank out a 1000 or so Cd's a day. That would be neat to graph with MRTG and poll in WUG. You know, maybe I can start adding dry contacts to chairs.... ;-> -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Mike Patterson Sent: Thursday, June 05, 2003 6:58 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: [WhatsUp Forum] Server sizing for WhatsUp Gold Anthony Rocks! This is the largest network I've ever heard of being monitored by WhatsUp. You should have a WhatsUp Gold plaque. I'm also doing MRTG on this cluster (over 2000 items) :> WUG can do a lot more on a lot less. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Murphy, Rod A.
