We have WUG running on an old sea dog of a server and it works like a charm:

2000 plus devices/services on an IBM Netfinity 5000 P2 450 MHZ, 256 MB RAM (
I think you can buy one of these for $30.00 :)). 7 GB partition for logs

Subject: [WhatsUp Forum] Server sizing for WhatsUp Gold

Hi All,

Does anyone out there have any information and/or personal experience about
how to size a server (memory, disk, CPU) for WhatsUp Gold to handle
approximately 2000 nodes?

Thanks!
