First problem is that C (previously [[C:]]) would conflict with the article [[C]]. Secondly, things like [[C:\Windows]] would be inaccurate as C \Windows, and I don't think there are any reliable sources which could be found to support a move to [[C \Windows]], which would be an issue all of its own.
