In reality, it will be thousands. Every single one of those thousands of links represents a saving of editor time. The benefit of maintaining a small number of articles (and yes, it is a very small number) at their exact, literal title does not outweigh the potential benefit to all users in the future. Regarding "I don't think there are any reliable sources which could be found to support a move..." We have any number of articles at titles mandated by technical limitations.
