The easiest place to check voltages is one of the HDD power plugs. Yellow should be +12volts and Red should be +5volts. Black is ground, ie the case. Orange is usually +3.3volts. But this will be on the 20 pin connector. Let me know if any are different. Under normal conditions they will be very close to nominal. Say +- 0.25 volts. > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Gaffer" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: <[email protected]> > Sent: Sunday, April 03, 2005 5:46 AM > Subject: Re: Computer Died-Help! > > > On Sunday 03 April 2005 6:03 am, you wrote: > >> Is there a way to tell if it is the power supply vs the > >> motherboard? > >> > >> Power is coming on, all fans are spinning, but there is no POST, > >> no "boot up beep". > >> > >> Thanks again > > > > If you have access to a voltmeter you could check the CPU voltage > > !
