Seems to me like it is the motherboard. Guess I'll be contacting the manufacturer for a replacement.
Hope that won't be a hassle and I hope that it fixes the problem!

I seem to recall this happening sometimes when the cable has been reverse (red line on the wrong side of the connection) although this is unlikely given modern cables/devices which prevent such reversals. Just a thought...
Yes thats true, but not in this case. The machine was working properly before the problem occured !!!
