Laptops usually have touch pad drivers (if it has a touch pad) rather than mouse drivers. You may want to try with NO mouse/touch pad drivers. They really are not needed unless the "special features" are used. But then again, this probably just became a "non-issue", now that it's turned off in the bios. :)
