Running W2000 with an USB hard drive.
It was working last week.
My daughters USB HD refused to work on her computer.
Brought it over and it wold not work on mine,
After that my USB refused to be recognized.
I go to Device Mgr. and reinstall drivers from W2000 for the USB.
Still will not recognize the drive.
The next time I boot the USB shows no drivers in Device Mgr.
Is there a better USB driver somewhere that will stay installed and let
me see my USB drive.
I have a Belkin USB hub that stays installed and working.
When I plug my USB into it it is recognized.
What is going on?
Could I have killed the direct USB port by connecting her fauly driv to
it, presuming it is faulty.
