I'd tend to agree with Michael, I own 2 of the cheap (under CDN$20) psu testers and with 1 or 2 exceptions, I've found them to be right on the money (this is testing across probably 100 or so PSU's from various manufacturers) <http://linhaw.com/?page=shop/flypage&product_id=2501&category_id=092e778095ecd8970c0dd585d6a0f1f9&ps_session=cdaea3d2d58b6e4f29593597b64a8933> and <http://linhaw.com/?page=shop/flypage&product_id=3114&category_id=da5ddf9a3d221f8ce28ee51dd7173028&ps_session=cdaea3d2d58b6e4f29593597b64a8933> In the cases where the testers failed to detect a bad PSU, it was because the problem was intermittent and usually only occurred after the psu had been on for say 20 minutes plus. I use them for go/no go testing, if it fails, I replace the psu, if it doesn't I continue testing until I can either definitively rule the psu out or in by logical deduction. -- Harondel J.
