Yes, I am using LILO
I did in order, make clean, make dep, make bzImage, make modules, make
modules-install. make clean, make bzImage, make clean, make dep, make bzImage. So
far.
I might add that I un-installed the kernel-source. And re-installed the kernel-source
from the freshly downloaded RPM file. Then re-patched it, no errors.
Then make xconfig, selected to support windows programs. Make clean. Make dep, make
bzImage.
I copy the made bzImage to /boot/w4 then re-run LILO which has a corresponding entry
called w4 which uses and image called w4.
Did I miss anything?

Just a few things to check:
1) You are using LILO, right?
2) After turning on Wi4lin support, you did a
make dep; make clean; make bzlilo
3) You followed everything else that was in the LINUX/PATCH/README
