Ya know, I tried that too, that wouldn't compile, error code 2 something about eax....
I re-installed the unpatched kernel FTP'd from Mandrake and patched it again after
that.

I had this problem also, I got out of it by getting the Kernel source RPM from the
Trelos site that was already patched. It seems that the patch does not work well on
the Mandrake 7.1, updated Kernel.
