Hi! I'd like to mention a feature of JAWS I've found most useful the past week, that's the "Tandem" functionality which allows the connecting of 2 computers via the Internet or a Local Network, obviously both computers in question must have JAWS installed.
I know of another JAWS user in the States, we've been using the Tandem function for a variety of reasons, the main being so he can show me much of what JAWS has to offer in the way of features, flexibility and versatility as a Screen Reader - Tom did all the work navigating round screens and software and I was able to follow what Tom was doing given my computer and JAWS echoed his every move through speech output and we were on the phone at the time of these Tandem exercises -. JAWS Tandem is very responsive and very easy to set up, the various dialogues and Tandem functions explain themselves and connecting 2 machines is both fast and simple. Tom and I tried to connect 2 machines running Window-Eyes and the Remote Connection facility offered by GW Micro, we're still trying to get a connection established and I don't think its the firewall playing funny buggers at my end. To be honest I think that's the thing I like about JAWS and its functions, all functions - including JAWS Tandem - work - work well - and work as stated, no if's and no but's. ********** Dane Trethowan Skype: grtdane12 Phone US (213) 438-9741 Phone Australia (03) 9005 8589 ======================================= To post to this group, please send your message to: [email protected] The Windows-Access E-Mail forum is guaranteed malware, spyware, Trojan, virus and worm-free To modify your subscription options, please visit your personalise subscriber options page, located at http://mail.tft-bbs.co.uk/mailman/listinfo/windows-access You can find an archive of all messages posted to the Windows-Access forum at either of the following websites: http://mail.tft-bbs.co.uk/pipermail/windows-access/index.html Or: <http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]> you may also subscribe to this list via RSS.
