'morning to you too...  We're getting slammed a little more than usual,
but that's how school normally starts... a little more slamming every
year :)

I can tell you that here at UTD, we are on the verge of an 802.1x
rollout.  It's scheduled to happen during the Christmas break
currently.  It will be for our entire wireless LAN, including any guest
access.

Current plans use EAP-TLS with a self-signed root cert that we will have
the clients load onto their clients.  I would like to write a utility to
automate the process of configuring the wireless adapter and loading the
certs for WinXP clients before we actually do the rollout.

That's the plan.  Windows 2000 SP4 does now include the MS 802.1x client
though.  The one disadvantage, though, is that it does not configure the
wireless settings inside the OS like XP does.  It's just a .1x client as
opposed to the full Wireless Zero Config service.
