I took a hunk of cat5 cable in and found a welding rod that JUST fit inside it. (pull the outer insulation out .5" or so) I had to grind a point on both ends and also "rough" up the wire so that it would "stick" inside the cable better. Took a few tries to get right but now that I have it nailed down it's soooooo cool. I don't have to drill a bigger hole. I don't have to fight with the drill flutes to find the hole in the end of the drill bit. It doesn't take two people (one to pull the other to feed the wire) etc. I've also got an 18" one that works great in trailer house floors.
