NetFlix has a dynamic codec and bandwidth sensor. I have a few customers that stream. They all have asked why it starts out nice and slowly starts to look worse. I explain that they start out at 10mbit and lose X% bandwidth over Y Time till they are at the 2mb account they have paid for. One upgraded and they others have not. They all signed up before I did bit billing so they have not been hit with a insane bill, yet.
