Yes, that's exactly the kind of thing I had in mind. Especially since the non-metallic blades only have a 3' diameter. Stick a good deep discharge battery in a box with the charge controller and it should be able to power a nice Routerboard arrangement, maybe with some Ethernet radios on the side. The fun will be mounting everything on the pole. Questions like who gets the top, the antenna or the windmill? (Probably the turbine, so it can move with the wind.)
