If you lived closer, I'd consider reusing some of that hardware you have as 
extras, but alas the cost of shipping over the border would hardly make it 
worth it.

But yes, green as possible please. The world needs less hardware, not more. 

We are strictly a one-car family and I've only ever bought one "new" car in my 
life and I plan to have that until it dies, or we move to another continent 
(which ever comes first).

Thankfully, the City of Calgary recently opened an electronics recycling centre 
so all that stuff I've been hording in my basement for years will finally have 
a home.
