While Window Maker will be developed under the aegis of GNU for the
GNU operating system, very likely distributions won't be affected,
since, technically, they are all variants of the GNU system (often with
the kernel called "Linux"). Furthermore, the GNU project incentives
portability between a wide range of hardware and software platforms, so
BSD folks can rest assured.
