My (possibly incorrect) understanding is that XWayland will allow one to run X clients, but they will still be managed by the Wayland Window Manager. For example, I don't think that wmaker will be able to manage Wayland windows when running under XWayland. I would like to hear from someone who knows more though. I am not on the right mailing lists, but I wonder how any of the other guys (i3, dwm, xmonad, blackbox etc.) are approaching the upcoming chaos. -- To unsubscribe, send mail to wmaker-dev-unsubscr...@lists.windowmaker.org.
