You are probably seeing audio roll off.  I have the same problem so I tune
my radio down 500Hz to ensure I pick up all the low offset signals.
I keep the WSJT-X waterfall showing 0-4800Hz (so it's really -500 to 4300
offset from the normal freq) and I see signals on both ends of it now.   But
my max SSB transmit BW is 4000Hz so any signals above 4500 offset I have to
tune my radio back up 500Hz so I can transmit.
