Hi Iban, you are missing my point. A PCM audio stream when consumed by an application is expected to be audio. You cannot feed IQ data to a DAC and get a analog representation of the original stream. IQ data is not PCM audio. As an analogy, if you took your car to the filling station and filled the tank, would be unhappy if it had dispensed sand instead of fuel. I do not disagree that interchanging data in IQ form is a good thing, all I am saying is that hijacking the PCM audio format to pass it is wrong. You are complaining that certain software that expects PCM audio data cannot cope with ID data masquerading as PCM audio data.
