Hi Steve,

first off here is a run on Windows using r6773. I have used a screen capture because I cannot paste the output into an email, the reason for that may be a possible clue, the ^@ symbols are null bytes which may be a sign that some array or string addressing is off by one. Other than that I get different results from both of your tests. I will try a run on Linux to see if I can track down something.
