Hi Tim,
if you see another RRR then it is simple to click "Enable Tx" to repeat
your 73 message. Either way the QSO is complete and both sides can log
it. The 73 back to the station sending RRR is really on a courtesy.
These days most stations have no interest in receiving a 73 message on
HF and move on as soon as they have sent RRR or RR73.
I would agree using MS or other marginal propagation paths, sending a
few 73 messages to tell the original caller that they can stop sending
is useful but on MS and other fast modes there is plenty of time to
decide to click a button to repeat a 73 message.
