This has been occurring since the JT65 only version. It might even be
something particular to certain computer setups but it has occurred across

It sounds like the waveform isn't getting generated for some reason and default
zeros are being 'sent'.

Just an additional information here. When this "no audio output" occurs,
it's present during the whole duration of the TX period. When the TX
switches on, there is no audio signal present. I have never encountered
a situation where the audio signal was present at the beginning of the
TX period and has dropped later, during the same TX period.
I'm still waiting for recommendations concerning a possible diagnostic
procedure which could help to debug this ugly bug.
