I hear a lot of that.  One, the mic should not be plugged in if it is 
electrically active during PTT on the FT8 port.  Two, the processor should NOT 
be used on digital modes at all.  You need to educate this guy so he can “do it 
right”.  It’s really gross to listen someone like that who wipes out the entire 
band segment every time they key up or release PTT.
