But Android as something intrinsically Java-based is _not_ developer-friendly 
in languages other than Java.

For example, Qt for Android is in the works - it is not straightforward at all 
- because at the moment a GUI framework needs to render a widget it needs to 
interface with that Java GUI stuff.
