So we have a lot of Linux experience some windows, but no Mac?
Does no one have Mac? It's kind of essential.

More specifically: I've used Windows since the early 90's - first
because that's where I did my programming work (early GUI stuff and Word
automation) and later because all translation tools (my current
industry) run on Windows. So I've used Perl on Windows since before it
was convenient - not that it's really 100% even now.
All the wxPerl work I've ever done has been on Windows.
For my last machine, I installed Ubuntu as the primary OS and Windows in
a VM with "seamless" integration - which really is pretty darn close to
seamless. I do the specifically translation-and-editing work under
Windows, and everything else under Ubuntu on the same machine, and it is
fantastic. But the upshot is that I can develop and test under Linux and
Windows at the same time without even getting up from my chair.

Hi Guys,
James' point is a very good one. What platform expertise do we have?
James is Ubuntu 14.04LTS and I am the very similar Kubuntu 14.04LTS.
I shall be upgrading to 16.04 in April.

Hi Steve:
Let me know what needs to be done. Sounds like a good learning
opportunity.
I use Ubuntu 14.04LTS. Any Windows or Mac reps?
James

If Steve, Eric and James want to team up, you have my blessing and

I would be honoured to be part of the team.
This reply concerns wiki.wxperl.nl, not wxperl.it
I have been a member of the wxperl list since 2008 or 2009. I have
been using wxPerl since then. My main use has been to build a video
function with wxMediaCtrl, which I have heavily customised, for
medical use. I use Kubuntu 14.04.
I would be happy to support the wiki with my time and to contribute
towards, or pay for, the domain and hosting costs for the time being.
If Erik, Michael and James feel the same way, that would be great.
I would suggest, Johan, that it could be nice if there could be a
period of handover during which time you could hand-hold until we
feel more confident.
What do you think?
I am based in the UK.

Steve.
