So you are against giving users the option because they might have Elliotte's opinion rather than yours, but at the same time you choose to end your rather interesting debate with Elliotte with an ad hominen attack rather than rebutting his arguments?

Because I think it's wrong to let users limit their system to 1.0, so
I'm against making this easy. All sorts of people misled by people like
Elliotte will turn this on without understanding what it means.
