Don't use inputenc with XeLaTeX, XeLaTeX already uses utf-8. > \usepackage{amssymb} > \usepackage{amsmath} > \usepackage{euler} > \usepackage{fontspec,unicode} You probably want unicode-math here. Unicode emulates Unicode support for 8 bit TeX and includes tipa on the way, which is causing problems here.
