1.1 beta 1 builds

Ok, I finally posted some builds for 1.1 beta 1. I'm not too enthused 
about these builds, in particular with the documentation. It's badly 
out of date and there is little guidance about how to actually install 
the thing. This is especially a problem with the major differences 
between this and 1.0.

In the past I would have held the release until I could update the 
docs, but right now the time just isn't there. So if we ever want to 
release a solid 1.1 someone needs to step up and update the 
documentation. Any volunteers?
