Thanks Kimbro. Could you also take care of announcing the beta to the various mailing list and to freshmeat? I can do it myself if you're busy: the only problem is that I don't have admin access to the freshmeat project (just in case, however, my freshmeat id is "nemorino").
My personal opinion on this is that this release should not be announced outside existing users. I don't believe anyone will be able to figure it out given the current state of the documentation.

I'm not too enthused about these builds, in particular with the documentation. It's badly out of date and there is little guidance about how to actually install the thing. This is especially a problem with the major differences between this and 1.0.
Agreed. But I'm happy with having a build and starting to gather some feedback.
I think that since we don't have any deadline, we should maybe reconsider including a Jetty server.
+ less differences between 1.0 and 1.1
+ developers already using Xindice within Tomcat will survive (if we have a war file in the dist directory)
- RTM is delayed
Well... you know I already have a working setup (updated to the latest Jetty BTW). I'm ready to commit it at once, just LMK. I don't understand, though, why should RTM be delayed...
Ciao,
