Un fortunately it's a scsi system, with on-motherboard SCSI
(never going to go that way again...), so I'd have to get a scsi
controller too.

If you're using X, most of the X stuff runs on a different CPU,
so although xmame is single threaded, you do get good utilisation
of both processors.  Not as good as it would be if coded for it though.

I keep my eye on news:aus.ads.forsale.computers.used but since
I haven't got a new job yet (back from 2 months holidays)
so the 'entertainment' budget doesn't stretch that far... yet ;)
