I hope it is appropriate for me task ask questions of this nature here.
I am having trouble installing xmame on a Linux and I have had a hard
time finding a solution on the web.
I am running a fresh install of Mandrake 9.0 using KDE on an Athlon
system . I have downloaded both of the following:
xmame-0.62.2-1.i386.rpm
and
xmame-0.62.2-1.i686.rpm
I have tried to install both using the KDE package manager (kpackage).
Every time I try, I get a failed dependency error reporting that
"libc.so.6 (GLIB_2.3) is needed by xmame-0.62.2-1".
I looked on the net, but I can't find any information on how to get and
install libc.so.6 (GLIB_2.3).
If anyone can give me any advice, I would greatly appreciate it. I
apologize if I didn't get all the terminology right above. I am
relatively computer savvy, but I am also new to Linux.
