Setting defaultfbbpp to 24 will save video memory without losing colors, but it may be slower (or it may not). > by the way, what's the status of parhelia with X? I don't know of anyone doing any Parhelia work for the XFree86 mga driver yet, although someone did ask whether any other drivers support 10+10+10 bit framebuffers (the glint driver does). I don't know how quickly they will release dosc which will allow anyone to add DRI support. I assume that Matrox are working on Parhelia support in their closed source driver. -- Dr. Andrew C.
