Try using "ati" here (in fact, that should work with > any supported ATI chip). Okay, I gave that a spin, worse outcome though. My box locks up tight, no keyboard, can't ping it from other machines on the network. Not a pretty site. Tried it both with the stock 4.2.1 that came with mdk 9.0 and the gatos ati.2 drivers, same outcome. Don't know if it's a panic, or what as the screen goes blank when I start X. Interesting thing is that prior to that, the monitor that's connected to the rage card does not see the card, as in, the yellow led. When I start X, that led goes green, so it appears the ati driver does start to get going. > > >> Option "DPMS" >> BusID "PCI:0:11:0" >>EndSection >> >>Section "Device" >> Identifier "device1" >> VendorName "ATI" >> BoardName "ATI Radeon" >> Driver "radeon" >> Option "DPMS" >> Option "AGPMode" "2" >> BusID "AGP:1:0:0" > > ^^^^^^^^^ > Not sure this works either, but it probably doesn't matter as this is > the primary device. What do you mean by 'not sure this works'? Are you referring to the AGP? The radeon card is agp, the rage card is pci. The agp entry works fine as a single head entry. -- Until later: Geoffrey [EMAIL PROTECTED] I didn't have to buy my radio from a specific company to listen to FM, why doesn't that apply to the Internet (anymore...)? _______________________________________________ Xpert mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://XFree86.Org/mailman/listinfo/xpert
