>How does delimiter is not resolve to a real sentence?
>"delimiter is tab."

Anthony,

"item delimiter is tab 1 of myStr" is not a complete sentence.

One HyperTalk command always approximates a real sentence:

go to card 1 of stack "foo"
 select card button one

>put item (the delimiter is tab) 3 of...

See, it's not a real sentence. Even worse, the scripters will wonder why
they have to place the parenthesis between item and 3!

>Not only would it make it verbose, it'd make xTalk mutable... Imagine this:
>put item1 1 of item2 5 of item4 7 of data into...

Of course, we could put limits on chunk type names like forbidding numbers.
If we could come up with enough names, we could also come up with 4 or so
chunk names and make their delimiter user-modifyable. But specifying the
delimiter with the item would be much more convenient.

Cheers,
