This is technically the closest, but for me it falls between two stools...
it seems like a simplified form of 'item 1 delimited by "/"', which is as
near as dammit conversational English... but is almost certainly too wordy
for standard xTalk conventions. In which case, I currently find 'item 1
delimiter "/"' (or 'item 1 del "/"') to be a clearer _scripter's shorthand_
for the plain English logic.
