Hi,
what about making "delimited" an optional keyword. Then this would be
either of:
item 1 of field 1 by "/"
item 1 of field 1 delimited by "/"
This way, we have English but we can also short-cut it.
I don't like "del" as in my mind it raises the thought of "delete", which I
always associate with that.
