tree-widget is already included in the XEmacs JDE package.  I agree
with you that it should be unbundled and put somewhere else.  Perhaps
edit-utils or text-modes?  I'll talk to the XEmacs JDE maintainer.

Well in its former life when it was cookie it was part of the elib
package, but I'm not sure that the elib maintainers would want ewoc
included in their package.  I can easily ask, but if they say no
what's a good place for it?  The same place tree-widget gets moved to?

More than likely no need.  If I get any opposition to these package
changes/additions we can bring it up on xemacs-beta, but I can't see
that happening.
