hi, Indiana 2008.11 still contains the old 1.3 X-Server (and also only the old pre-libaccess versioned and compiled older ddx modules). Wait until upgrade to b107 is available for 2008.11 (if it isn't already). This should include X-Server 1.5.3 and the more recent ddx modules. The reason why the performance you are currently experiencing is so poor is most probably the following: ddx modules are not recent enough to have native support for your gfx chipset inside, yet. Hence the X-Server's autoconfigure code falls back and chooses the vesa_drv.so module. Which does give you X11, but lacks hw acceleration, not to speak of glx or even drm ... %martin
