Hello,

The same behavior on Toshiba Satellite Pro U500.
NVIDIA GeForce G 310M CUDA
I've tried Opensolaris 2009/06, Opensolaris devel builds 133, 134
nvidia drivers: NVIDIA-Solaris-x86-256.53 (and previous)
When Xorg is started, screen becomes black, system responses becomes too slow.
I'm unable to remotely kill the Xorg with -9 .. nothing. I didn't try to make a
serial console to the notebook via some usb2serial converter, so don't know if
this can be traced via kdb ...

I've found a thread with 310M chip, but not a the same problem ...
http://opensolaris.org/jive/thread.jspa?messageID=477925

The big surprise was test with Solaris 10 U8 and NVIDIA-Solaris-x86-256.53. It
was running without any problems !
So the question is how the nvidia driver is build - probably against Solaris
kernel, not Opensolaris kernel. There are Sol10 and Sol11 versions of
gfx_private included in the driver, but the nvidia driver itself has only one
version ... maybe there is some incompatibility ...
